Dr. Franzen received his DDS degree from the Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1985 and then went on to receive his prosthodontic training at the University of Missouri and Truman Medical Center. Dr. Franzen has focused on esthetic replacement teeth and implant dentistry. Since completing his specialty, he has maintained his private practice since 1985 with an emphasis on implant rehabilitations.
The implant revolution began while Dr. Franzen was still in dental school, and he has continued to follow it closely. For the past 25 years, he has lectured extensively on implant dentistry throughout the United States and Europe. He remains an important resource for dentists and prosthodontists in the implant community.
Dr. Franzen was recognized by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) at their winter meeting in New York at NYU. After satisfactorily completing the requirements for Fellowship, he is now a Fellow Member of the ICOI. Dr. Franzen has been chosen by his peers as one of Milwaukee Magazine's Top Dentists of Milwaukee in 2003, 2009, 2016 and 2019. Additionally, Dr. Franzen has been recognized in both America's Top Dentists and Milwaukee's Lifestyle Magazine.
Dr. Franzen and his wife, Raquel, have been married since 1982 and have three children. They are blessed with three grandchildren. When Dr. Franzen's not studying dentistry, helping his patients achieve their dream smiles, or lecturing on dental implants, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and farming for wildlife.
